The Alaska District Church of the Nazarene was the first to report three of its Soldotna parishioners were missing on board a small plane Sunday, and the church has now announced the trio have been found safe and well.
The National Transportation Safety Board and Rescue Coordination Center of Alaska led a search for the plane on Sunday and Monday, hoping to find Josh Smith, his daughter Danielle, and John White. The plane’s emergency beacon was activated Sunday afternoon and the church reported the survivors were found by Monday evening. They’re now being transported to Anchorage.
Few additional details were immediately available.
